Today is Wednesday in the 19th week post Pentecosten, the 4th of October; it is a feria. At Le Barroux, the votive Mass of Saint Joseph was sung, the Mass Adiutor et protector noster est Dominus [I notice that I had mistakenly described this Mass as that of the Holy Guardian Angels on that page in January, tsk]. The parish bulletin, the feuille paroissiale, at Saint-Eugène for the week reads today as a feria also, so the Sunday Mass is here. But we shall see what choice the celebrant makes.
Notice also that the ensemble La Lorenzany will perform a program of "oeuvres rares de Schütz, Chaumont, Bassani, Vivaldi, Boutmy, Brossard" at Saint-E. on Saturday. Schütz and Vivaldi are the only composers I know from that lot, I think, although something of de Brossard may be in the repertoire at Saint-E.: in any event, a treat if ever there was one!
