Ego mater pulchræ dilectiónis, et timóris, et agnitiónis, et sanctæ spei. In me grátia omnis viæ et veritátis: in me omnis spes vitæ, et virtútis...

Deus, qui nobis in Corde Fílii tui, nostris vulneráto peccátis, infinítos dilectiónis thesáuros misericórditer largíri dignáris: concéde, quǽsumus; ut, illi devótum pietátis nostræ præstántes obséquium, dignæ quoque satisfactiónis exhibeámus offícium. Per eundem Dóminum.

Omnípotens sempitérne Deus, qui in Corde beátæ Maríæ Vírginis dignum Spíritus Sancti habitáculum præparásti: concéde propítius; ut ejúsdem immaculáti Cordis festivitátem devóta mente recoléntes, secúndum cor tuum vívere valeámus. Per Dóminum... in unitáte ejúsdem.

This is the painting entitled Our Lady says farewell to Christ by the Polish artist Piotr Stachiewicz (1858-1938), chosen for today's feast by the good people at Christian Art; they email a meditation on the Gospel with a commented image of an artwork each day.

Today is Saturday in the 2nd week post Pentecosten, the 2nd day infra Octavam Sanctissimi Cordis Domini Nostri Iesu Christi. The ordo at Le Barroux indicates that there is a proper Mass of the Most Pure Heart of Our Lady (the title and its feast is a variation of that of the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady and predates it, from the end of the 18th century; I checked but didn't see it in the propria sanctorum extracted from the 1923 Benedictine Missale) but goes on to mention the Mass Adeamus cum fiducia and I am simply unsure what is meant. (I suppose, seeing that Adeamus was sung, that the feast is proper in their calendar with this Mass.) The feast of Our Lady's Immaculate Heart was appointed to today (which had been the feast of Our Lady Queen), the day after the feast of the Most Sacred Heart, by Pius XII. Am not sure who moved feasts when and where but in the Pauline Rite, the feast of Our Lady Queen is celebrated on August 22, that is on the Octave of, a week after, the feast of the Assumption.

It is Saturday morning now. Have realised that there are texts to a Mass of the Most Pure Heart somewhere here, probably in the  paroissiens that are in a box (a short-sighted move on my part, certainly: but, really, I do consult them perhaps twice a year). The Lord Abbot has risen for the Introit procession in the video-recording from Le Barroux. Adeamus cum fiducia it is.

At Saint-Eugène, Holy Mass was celebrated at 0030 my time as is usual on Saturdays without the video-recording being saved to their YouTube page. The calendar in their bulletin suggests that the Salve sancta Parens was said.

Introitus. Hebr. 4, 16. Adeámus cum fidúcia ad thronum grátiæ, ut misericórdiam consequámur, et grátiam inveniámus in auxílio opportúno. Ps. 44, 2. Eructávit cor meum verbum bonum: dico ego ópera mea regi. V. Glória Patri.

Kyrie, Gloria.

Oratio.
Omnípotens sempitérne Deus, qui in Corde beátæ Maríæ Vírginis dignum Spíritus Sancti habitáculum præparásti: concéde propítius; ut ejúsdem immaculáti Cordis festivitátem devóta mente recoléntes, secúndum cor tuum vívere valeámus. Per Dóminum... in unitáte ejúsdem.

Léctio libri Sapiéntiæ.
Eccli. 24, 23-31.
Ego quasi vitis fructificávi suavitátem odóris: et flores mei, fructus honóris et honestátis. Ego mater pulchræ dilectiónis, et timóris, et agnitiónis, et sanctæ spei. In me grátia omnis viæ et veritátis: in me omnis spes vitæ, et virtútis. Transíte ad me omnes qui concupíscitis me, et a generatiónibus meis implémini. Spíritus enim meus super mel dulcis, et heréditas mea super mel et favum. Memória mea in generatiónes sæculórum. Qui edunt me, adhuc esúrient: et qui bibunt me, adhuc sítient. Qui audit me, non confundétur: et qui operántur in me, non peccábunt. Qui elúcidant me, vitam ætérnam habébunt.

Graduale. Ps. 12, 6. Exsultábit cor meum in salutári tuo: cantábo Dómino, qui bona tríbuit mihi: et psallam nómini Dómini altíssimi. V. Ps. 44, 18. Mémores erunt nóminis tui in omni generatióne et generatiónem: proptérea pópuli confitebúntur tibi in ætérnum.

Allelúja, allelúja. V. Luc. 1, 46, 47. Magníficat ánima mea Dóminum: et exsultávit spíritus meus in Deo salutári meo. Allelúja.

+ Sequéntia sancti Evangélii secúndum Joánnem.
Joann. 19, 25-27.

Secreta. Majestáti tuæ, Dómine, Agnum immaculátum offeréntes, quǽsumus: ut corda nostra ignis ille divínus accéndat, cui Cor beátæ Maríæ Vírginis ineffabíliter inflammávit. Per eundem Dóminum.

Præfatio de Beata Maria Virgine. Et te in Festivitáte.

Sanctus, Benedictus, Agnus Dei.

Communio. Joann. 19, 27. Dixit Jesus matri suæ: Múlier, ecce fílius tuus: deinde dixit discípulo: Ecce mater tua. Et ex illa hora accépit eam discípulus in sua.

Postcommunio. Divínis refécti munéribus te, Dómine, supplíciter exorámus: ut beátæ Maríæ Vírginis intercessióne, cujus immaculati Cordis solémnia venerándo égimus, a præséntibus perículis liberáti, ætérnæ vitæ gáudia consequámur. Per Dóminum.
