Phoebus has just now risen above the line of tree tops...

And is making my morning reading a bit of a challenge although its effect on the text of the Office, Prime in this case, was nice, 'illuminating' it in a way. 50 degrees now, 90 later on. Am hoping that the weather mages are wrong about the 90. It is, for the first time since I don't remember when, a ferial day in all the kalendaria, from 1570 through 1960, the practical import of this being that Mass today at Saint-Eugène will probably be of the Sunday, Réspice, Dómine, in testaméntum tuum. But a feria also allows the celebrant to say a votive Mass, so who knows.

M. le Curé is celebrating the votive Mass of the Holy Ghost.

I have realised that it is a better option to copy/paste from the 1920 Missal I have in pdf (than from Divinum Officium or Introibo) when I can i.e. when I can more or less easily find the Mass in the pdf. Although for some reason I seem to be unable to more or less even out the right-hand margin, tsk.

Graduale. Ps. 32, 12 et 6. Beáta gens, cujus est Dóminus Deus eórum: pópulus, quem elégit Dóminus in hereditátem sibi. ℣. Verbo Dómini cœli firmáti sunt: et Spíritu oris ejus omnis virtus eórum.

Allelúja, allelúja. (Hic genuflectitur [this rubric being suppressed tsk at some point, I think, but perhaps only in the Pauline Rite]) ℣. Veni, Sancte Spíritus, reple tuórum corda fidélium: et tui amóris in eis ignem accénde. Allelúja.

Offertorium. Ps. 67, 29-30. Confírma hoc, Deus, quod operátus
es in nobis: a templo tuo, quod est in Jerúsalem, tibi ófferent reges múnera.

Communio. Act. 2, 2 et 4. Factus est repénte de cælo sonus
tamquam adveniéntis spíritus veheméntis, ubi erant sedéntes: et repléti sunt omnes Spíritu Sancto, loquéntes magnália Dei.
