Am visiting here this morning, on the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel...

Or (at some point before 1939) on the Commemoratio Sanctae Mariae in Sabbato, because someone wrote that he was getting a 503 notice when attempting to see these splendid notes and rambles. I had no issues whatever, myself.

The gossip this morning is that Cardinal Cupich is going to expel the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest from his archdiocese, alas. Am not sure how many parishes they have in Chicago. Nothing will surprise me, however.

There was in the last number of La Vie an excellent article about Saint-Eugène-Sainte-Cécile that I will try to find the address for to put here. Summer being time for holidays in France, clerics' schedules are off, singers are away etc etc-- it is a 'quiet time' so far as the Liturgy goes: but the Sunday High Mass continues as usual (0200 here). Although I've been watching the recording (instead of following the live-stream) at five or six or whenever I am done with the Office instead of getting up for two o'clock.
