It is the Octave of Our Lady's Immaculate Conception...

But also the Ember Wednesday of Advent. At Saint-Eugène, the Mass Rorate caeli is being sung, of the Ember Day.

This is the first Responsorium from Matins earlier (noticed the recording because Dr DiPippo posted it at New Liturgical Movement).

The folks at Rorate Caeli passed along the word last night that there is ready for publication, within the fortnight, an instruction from the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments that (more or less, as I understand it, etc) will extend the Vicariate of Rome's catastrophic limitations on the celebration of the Traditional Rite ('implementing Traditionis Custodes') to the entire Latin Church, tsk. No Masses in the Triduum. No celebration of the other Sacraments. Terrible news, if true, if it happens. Providence is inscrutable.
