Holy Mass for the Ember Saturday...

Began at 0030, eh, which is an even less convenient time than 0200, ha. But the Schola was wonderful-- we are at the Benedicamus Domino-- and in the circumstances I found myself wondering if I'd ever have an opportunity again to hear this magnificent expression of the Sacred Liturgy.

At the Communion, the Magnificat and today's antiphon.

O Adonái et Dux domus Israël, qui Móysi in igne flammæ rubi apparúisti, et ei in Sina legem dedísti: veni ad rediméndum nos in brácchio exténto.

Now-- at 0205-- to the Night Office, I think. Vespers from Saint-Eugène is at 0830.

I inserted the two video recordings just now, before Terce; am late to it because I spent time trying to come to terms with this morning's Responsa ad dubia from Mons Roche's grubby little office. A summary of the nonsense (by Matthew Hazell) is here at Rorate Caeli.
