A lovely morning yet again...

A degree or two warmer than it has been at this hour (it's almost half past seven) but the mages predict 84 later on and not yesterday's 85, so. It is a feria today, the Mass therefore is Inclína, Dómine, aurem tuam (Introibo) from yesterday, the 15th Sunday post Pentecosten

And one can begin a novena in preparation for the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, if one feels so inclined.

Hail Mary, full of sorrow, Jesus crucified is with thee. Thou art most worthy of compassion amongst women and most worthy of compassion is Jesus, the fruit of thy womb. Holy Mary, Mother of Jesus Crucified, our sins have put thy divine Son upon the Cross: obtain for us tears of repentance and love, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

It is also the feast of Saint Liberatus (13th century), of Saint Umbertus (7th century), and of Saint Eleutherius (6th century).

V. Et álibi aliórum plurimórum sanctórum Mártyrum et Confessórum, atque sanctárum Vírginum. R. Deo grátias.
