A clear morning after a mild Dawn...

No sign of rain today-- yesterday has probably exhausted 'rain' for another month at least. Today is a feria, and so the Blessed Virgin is commemorated, as are the martyrs Saints Protus and Hyacinthus (Introibo, CE, Wikipedia). The Mass of Saints Protus and Hyacinthus is Salus autem iustórum a Dómino; since it is the 4th day infra Octavam Nativitatis Beatissimae and since tomorrow is the feast of the Virgin's Holy Name, let's see if YouTube doesn't give us a recording of Salus autem. A very pleasant surprise, these videos from the Abbey of Kergonan in Brittany presenting the entire proper of the Mass, along with the Gloria.

Post Sextam. Am preparing to listen to the Last Night at the Proms. Haven't paid the festival much attention but don't like to miss the Last Night.

It is also the feast of Saint Elias (10th century), of Saint Leudinus (7th century), and of Saint Patientius (5th century).

V. Et álibi aliórum plurimórum sanctórum Mártyrum et Confessórum, atque sanctárum Vírginum. R. Deo grátias.
