Post Tertiam. Am browsing through the works featured during the Oregon Bach Festival and came across the following sentence. The performer "delivers a lush array of piano works from America’s first large-scale female composer Amy Beach". What is a 'large-scale female'? I suppose what is meant is, 'female composer of large-scale works', and in spite of the phrasing I reckon I understood when I first read the sentence. But, really....
