So far as I can tell the flock of starlings has decamped; only now have I realized I could have been using the collective nouns 'murmuration' and 'chattering' these past couple of days. Perhaps if I were more confident of my identification it would have occurred to me.
It is also the feast of Saint Bernardinus (15th century), of Saint Nilus (16th century), and of Saint Aurea (1st century).
