A bright, clear Dawn to come in the next half hour...

And the temperature actually fell into the upper 30s overnight although we are still to enjoy, if that is the right word, the 50s later on. It is the Vigil of the Epiphany today, the Mass being Dum medium silentium (Introibo); Magister Rubricarius at The Saint Lawrence Press Blog explains the liturgical arrangements much more authoritatively and concisely than I ever could (unhappily, the Mass given at Divinum Officium for the Traditional Rite in 1570 doesn't give the collect Corda nostra etc that R. refers to).

Am going to return to my book until I can breakfast in the full light of morning.
