This afternoon I received J.N. Adams's The Regional Diversification of Latin 200 BC-600 AD, which I've been greedily anticipating for quite a long time. It fell open to the section headed, The dative of possession in Balkan Latin.
Now I can eat my dinner. Like a fool, I chopped an entire habañero pepper into my wraps so I shall be sweating for the next hour.
